Indian Restaurant Style Chicken Chow Mein

Ingredients

  • 200 grams noodles
  • 250 grams boneless chicken breast
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 2 onions (chopped)
  • cup spring onion
  • ½ tbsp garlic salt
  • ½ tbsp grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp dark soya sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 cup thinly sliced veggies
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • cooking oil

Instructions

  • heat water in a boiling pot. Dip dry noodles when it starts boiling. Boil up the noodles for 2 minutes or up to soften the noodles. Remember don't extra soft the noodles.
  • drain water and wash with cold water. Add 1 tbsp cooking oil on the noodles and mix.
  • Cut veggies into thinly sliced size. I mainly use three to four types of vegetables like cabbage, broccoli, carrot, and beetroot. Keep them aside.
  • Cut chicken breast into small cubed size.
  • Heat 3 tbsp cooking oil in a skillet over medium flame, place the chicken. Add salt and shallow fry them for 4-5 minutes.
  • Place sliced onion and veggies in the skillet, mix them well. Now add spices then stir fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add sauces and cook another 2 minutes then add spring onion and combine.
  • Now add the boiled noodles in the frying pan, combine well with veggies and chicken. stir fry for 2-3 minutes over a high flame.
  • Remove the chicken chow mein from the skillet and place it on a plate. Allow the chow mein to cool down a room temperature then serve.
  • Add extra tomato sauce during taste if need.
